My name is Missy Brown. I have lived in Friendswood, TX since 1988. I graduated from Friendswood High School in 1989. The place kinda grew on me so I stayed. I always wanted to be a country singer since I was around 5 years old. I would perform in my bedroom nightly before what I considered a live audience…aka..2 stuffed animals and a cat that kept leaving the room. Once I graduated I went to work for Southwest Airlines and still longed for something more. That’s where my life changed. A local talent show was the beginning of a beautiful friendship between performing and me. I got a taste and I couldn’t wait for more. I started performing at what used to be the Hotel Concorde by Hobby Airport, several times a week. Then I met my soon to be favorite singing partner, Tommy Price. Together we played thru Pasadena, Santa Fe, Friendswood, Pearland, and Freeport. I’ve performed as a solo act in Nashville. It was there I made an appearance on a local cable station and had a great response. I also performed at the Opryland Hotel. What a treat! In 2004 I lost my partner but not my love of performing, so I started playing local oprys. I have met great people through those small but talent filled places that have touched my life and soul. Most recently I’ve met a bunch of guys that have put the smile back on my face, the Mission Texas band. I’m truly honored to be a part of something so special. Not only are they incredibly talented, but just a group of nice guys you just love to hang out with. I am a recent addition as a female vocalist, and I can’t wait to see what this future stage of life holds in store for us. To be continued…………..
